Recently I have found my heels cracked a lot and it has become very painful. I have tried using Vaseline, but it has not helped much. I am not very much sure if it is because I am wearing flip flops a lot and not wearing socks at all at the moment. Looking for help!

You can soak your feet in warm water and exfoliate the heels by using a mild soap. Rub a light coating of glycerin and put on your socks and sleep all night. It will heal soon.

Hi Shivani,Problem with petroleum jelly is that it doesn’t moisturize. Use a good moisturizer and keep your socks on. You will notice softer feet. Continue doing this until the problem is solved.

The cracking in the heels are actually due to old skin or the dead skin. As long as you have them, there is very little change of getting them healed and no moisturizer or cream can help. So first remove the old skin and then moisturize the new.

Exfoliate the skin by making a homemade scrub using rice flour. Take some ground rice and mix it with a teaspoon of honey and apple cider vinegar. You can use olive oil to it. Soak your feet in lukewarm water for about 10 minutes and gently scrub your heels. Repeat this few times a week for good results.

Hi Shivani, For cracked heals, my mother had always suggested a mixture of rosewater and glycerin. Rose water is anti-inflammatory and has antiseptic properties. Use it on your heels before going to bed and wear socks immediately. I think it helps a lot.

I have been facing similar problems but I used oil massage to cure cracked heels. You can use any hydrogenated oil or mix them to get added benefits.

Why don’t you simply try using Crack Cream. I have used it and it works wonders.

    Hi Shivani,

You can also try using fruit mask for healing soared heels. Since they have many enzymes and other wonderful components that are healthy, the pack can help to get rid of cracked heels. Fruits like papaya, banana can be mashed and used to massage your feet. I have tried using this and it has worked.
