Do you know that it is very important to soak your hair properly before applying shampoo? Most of us never give our hair enough time to soak before lathering up. You should at least wet your hair for a minute or two. This will help the shampoo to do its job properly.
Overdoing it on shampoo: Many believe, a shampoo that does not produce much lather is not good for cleaning hair. Skipping the conditioner: For shinier locks, you should use conditioner every time you wash your hair. This will cut down the friction and breakage when you brush your hair. Since hair ends often get drier, applying conditioner at the bottom of your hair can leave your hair healthy and without split ends.
Switching shampoos: Girls are often curious about the products recently launched in the market. And want to give it a try. But, doing this can only cause harm to your hair. Selecting the right product for your hair is a big thing if you want to make your hair look healthier. So, stop experimenting with your hair and select a product that is best for your hair texture and helps to manage the seasonal changes.
Washing every-day: Many hair experts have the opinion that hair looks best when natural oils of the scalp reach the end. They often recommend shampooing every alternate day or every third day. But this is not a rule. You can wash whenever your scalp turns greasy instead of following a strict rule.
Go for a trim: During winters, you may have dry hair and you may also notice some split ends. To get rid, go for a trimming session as this will allow your hair to breathe in fresh air and make it appear healthy and glowing. Regular trims every six or eight weeks can also help to reduce the chances of having split ends.
Hot oil massage: Winters usually make the scalp become dry and itchy and this may lead to dandruff. So, apply warm oil with some lemon juice in it and massage your scalp. Alternatively, you can also apply lemon juice on your scalp and then go for a hot oil massage.
Use a humidifier: Another secret of keeping your hair healthy is to invest in a humidifier. This can be reduced by using a humidifier as it will maintain the humidity of the air inside the room.
Eat lots of fruits and green vegetables: Winter brings with it lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Eat lots of salads, green vegetables and fresh juice regularly and notice the difference.
